Essex County Council provides a range of services to artists working within the county.
Exhibition assistance
Essex County Council can offer assistance to artists hoping to exhibit their work. We have a number of exhibition boards that can be hired out to artists across the county. For further information contact the Arts Development team. We work closely with firstsite and Essex libraries to exhibit works by local artists.
Art insurance
The issue of insurance is a vital one for artists. Although Essex County Council does not provide an insurance scheme for artists, we recommend that artists read the advice given on the subject by the
Artists' Network. The Artists Network can arrange insurance for artists, but this is not endorsed by Essex County Council, and there are other artist insurance schemes available.
