Essex County Council actively engages with artists and voluntary and professional organisations who are running arts projects for the benefit of the people of Essex. We can provide information and assistance in accessing funding for projects in the following ways.
Arts in Essex Small Grants Scheme
The Arts in Essex Small Grants Scheme is funded and run by Essex County Council, offering one off project support to arts projects within Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock).
Deadlines fall on the 31st March and 31st October each year and awards of up to £2500 are offered to projects which meet the schemes criteria.

Arts Funding Assistance
Essex County Council publishes an
Arts Funding Document, which provides details of several funding opportunities at local, regional and national levels.

Grantnet
Essex County Council subscribes to
Grantnet, a service that helps local organisations identify funding streams which are available to specific projects. Grantnet is linked to the Grantfinder database, which contains details of over 4,000 UK and EU funding sources.
Please note that the Essex County Council Grantnet service is only available to groups whose activities take place in Essex.
