Computer Specifications

Below is a guide to the minimum specification for the computers on offer through the Community Computing Scheme.
All equipment in the Community Computing scheme is a minimum of 4 years old. All equipment will come pre-loaded with the following:
  • Microsoft Windows XP
  • Microsoft Security Essentials
  • Open Office.
All Equipment will meet the following specification:
  • Intel Pentium 4 processor or equivalent
  • Minimum of 512Mb Memory
  • 20Gb Hard disk
  • CD-ROM drive
  • USB ports
  • UK Power leads and Plugs, All machines are 220/240 volts as standard
  • Network interface card
  • Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher resolution.

Desktop computers will also be supplied with:

  • QWERTY keyboard
  • Mouse
  • 15” screen and cables.
