Essex Trading Standards can be contacted in a number of different ways. We will endeavour to offer a prompt service to all customers where possible. Contacts from consumers are answered initially by Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline, a national advice line which is funded by the UK Government. Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline offers clear, practical and impartial advice in relation to the purchase of goods or services.

If you are unable to contact Trading Standards by telephone or email you can send a letter. However, please note there may be a delay in processing your enquiry if it is sent by post, due in part to the extended time it takes to receive, assess and redirect mail to the appropriate person or organisation. We may require further information in order to fully assess your requirements and, if this is the case, we would appreciate it if telephone or email contact details are supplied.
