If there is a spare seat available on a vehicle serving your child’s school you may be able to purchase it. You should only contact a transport provider about a spare seat if your child has previously been refused entitlement to school transport, or you are confident they would not be entitled. 

 

The cost of spare seats is set by each individual transport provider. Some providers will not be able to sell seats to you. To find out more, please contact the transport provider direct. If you are unsure who the provider is, please contact your child’s school for further details.

 

Some commercial bus services are operated under contract to Essex County Council. You may be able to purchase a discounted ticket on these services.
