Dear Jackie
Thank you for the training Essex Travel Training Team delivered to ten adult social care staff in Brent in June 2011. The training delivered gave the experienced staff already working in adult social care the necessary confidence to approach the travel training with renewed belief and enthusiasm.
The training was delivered in an informal style, drawing upon useful anecdotal examples that allowed staff to learn and empathise rather than have clinical scenarios that they could not relate to. The delivery of the training allowed constant stop checks to assess all were keeping up to speed and dealt with all questions as they arose which prevented any confusion in the trainees.
The templates provided were more than useful as a guide to the processes that are needed in Brent to deliver a professional structure in the travel training. The overview provided by the training allows us to confidently replicate the training journey of the clients with a seamless professional approach to ensure client’s learning is put first.
