Please note that we only deal with groundwater and surface water flooding.
Highway flooding, flooding from a main river or the sea and flooding from foul sewers and water mains are all dealt with by our partner organisations details of which are provided below.
Highway Drains
Essex Highways - Flooding caused by overflowing drains or gullies within the highway network managed by Essex County Council should be reported online or to your local area highways office or call 0345 603 7631.

Main Rivers and the Sea
Environment Agency - incident hotline on 0800 80 70 60. To listen to recorded flood warning information for your area or speak to someone for advice, call 0345 988 1188.
Surface Water Flooding
If you have a general query about surface water or groundwater flooding please contact the Flood Team at

If you enquire relates to sustainable drainage on new developments please contact the SuDS team
