Local environmental issues include a wide range of information that affects our lives directly on a day-to-day basis. Many local environmental issues are dealt with by district and borough councils, but Essex County Council manages certain local issues on behalf of those councils. Essex County council has a responsibility for ensuring that Essex remains a safe, healthy and attractive place for residents to live, and as such works in partnership with a number of stakeholders, such as the Essex Wildlife Trust, to deliver a range of projects that affect residents at all levels.
