Consultation period

The Waste Development Document: Preferred Approach will be out for public consultation between Thursday 24 November 2011 and Thursday 19 January 2012. 

The consultation period runs for eight weeks and all responses must be received by 5:30pm on the closing day.

Viewing the consultation papers  

  • View it online at http://consult.essexcc.gov.uk
  • Download the document from the Essex County Council website
  • Phone or email the planning team for a free copy of the CD containing all the papers associated with the consultation. 
  • Visit one of these locations and view a hard copy version of the document. 

Submiting your opinions 

There are several ways to respond:

We should like to encourage as many people as possible to use the online consultation facility as it is the cheapest response method available, and helps speed up the uploading process. If you have not used the system before, you will be required to register as a respondent (to log your details and help us ensure multiple responses are correctly assigned). There is an online help facility to guide you through the process.

If responding by email, post or fax, please use our response form, which you can download. Please ensure you include your full name and contact details as failure to do so may result in your comments being disallowed.
 
Every response will be made publicly available on this website, and those responses received by email, post or fax will be uploaded onto the consultation website by a member of Essex County Council staff. (NB All personal and contact details including signatures will be deleted from the online version apart from your name).
 
Every response will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and may be used by other sections of Essex County Council in order to respond to you. Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act and Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1995 any information given to us may appear in the public domain.
