Essex County Council has embarked on a scheme to regenerate Basildon’s industrial areas, known as the Basildon Enterprise Corridor. Having bid successfully for Community Infrastructure Funding for a range of schemes to improve the area, works are now taking place on a number of improvements along Cranes Farm Road, Eastmayne, Noak Hill and the A127 Fairglen Interchange.
The developments were discussed widely and a number of public exhibitions took place, at which members of the public had the opportunity to speak to the project team in detail. With the scheme having been approved, work is currently taking place with an anticipated completion date of May 2011.
For additional information about the scheme you can view the Basildon Enterprise Corridor leaflet.
