As of 1 April 2014 residents of Rochford, Gt Wakering, Little Wakering, Ashingdon, Hawkwell, Foulness, Stambridge, Canewdon, Paglesham and Barling who have previously been able to use the recycling centre at Stock Road, Southend on Sea, will no longer be permitted access to this facility.  Residents will need to use the closest Essex County Council recycling centre (which will be either Rayleigh or South Woodham Ferrers)

As of 1 April 2014 residents of Rochford, Gt Wakering, Little Wakering, Ashingdon, Hawkwell, Foulness, Stambridge, Canewdon, Paglesham and Barling who have previously been able to use the recycling centre at Stock Road, Southend on Sea, will no longer be permitted access to this facility. 

Residents will need to use the closest Essex County Council recycling centre (which will be either Rayleigh or South Woodham Ferrers).

Residents of Southend on Sea (anyone paying council tax to Southend on Sea Borough Council) are not permitted to use the Essex County Council recycling centres (e.g. Rayleigh, Canvey, Pitsea and South Woodham Ferrers) but have a choice of two recycling centres operated by Southend on Sea Borough Council:

Stock road, Southend, SS2 5QF
Leigh Marshes, Leigh on Sea, SS9 2ET
