Court decisions on your child

Sometimes social workers have serious concerns about a parent's ability to look after their children safely. This may lead to a court deciding your child's future. One option may be adoption.
 
If you agree that adoption is the best way forward for your child it is possible to give your consent. You can also decide whether or not you want to be told when an adoption order is made. Your child's social worker will talk to you about this.
 
If you don't agree with your child being adopted, you should contact a solicitor immediately to get advice on your legal rights.
