Aiming High for Disabled Children

Aiming High for Disabled Children is for disabled children, young people and their families who want to take short breaks.  It gives them the support they need to live ordinary lives.

Children and young people with disabilities between the ages of 0 -19 get the chance to enjoy, achieve and participate in a wide range of short break activities. These opportunities support ‘Me Time’.

‘Me Time’ short breaks can be anything from a couple of hours to overnight stays. They are designed to provide enjoyable experiences that contribute to personal and social development, as well as enabling parents and families to have a break from their caring responsibilities.

If you think ‘Me Time’ may support you and your child please visit Aiming High for Disabled Children.

For more information you can also read our latest newsletter.

Please note: The Essex Short Break Duty Statement is available and will be posted on this site on Monday 3rd October 2011.
