Ciaran O’Hart – Finance Manager
Ciaran O’Hart worked for Allied Irish Bank for 11 years before a dramatic career change whereby he worked as a voluntary overseas aid worker for the next 12 years.

| On his return to the UK he worked as a manager in the leisure industry before joining Essex County Council in 2004. Initially, he jointly managed the excellent Financial Assessment & Benefits Advisor (FABA) Team before moving to Essex Guardians in 2006.
Ciaran brings a wealth of expertise in finance, management, customer service, operation of the third sector and through his work abroad, brings a caring side to our business.

| Liz Hall – Case Worker
Liz’s career started by working for The Inland Revenue dealing with tax returns and assisting companies in operating PAYE. |

| After leaving the HMRC she worked in the CSA dealing with assessments and enquires with the public. Liz then moved to Essex and worked for the local office of the DWP awarding both Income Support and Incapacity benefit. Latterly Liz has worked for the FABA team which involved visiting clients and now she is applying all her wealth of experience to her role as a Case Worker within Essex Guardians. On of Liz’s great passions is the countryside and she has undertaken a lot of voluntary work for both the National Trust and Essex Wildlife Trust. Living on a farm also keeps her extremely busy especially at harvest time.

| Nina Prior – Case Worker After studying Business and Finance, Nina worked for a High Street Bank heading their Agency Branch Department at the local Customer Service Centre.

She joined Essex County Council in 1996 and has worked in several areas within the council since including residential care homes, financial management, and family centres prior to joining Essex Guardians as a caseworker in August 2002. “My goal as a long term caseworker is to ensure that our vulnerable clients receive the best service possible from us. Due to their health they are often highly vulnerable to abuse and neglect and our service ensures we can keep an eye out for them and look after their best interests. I like to think that I would do everything in my power to keep them safe financially and treat them with dignity and respect as I would my family.” |
| Julia Crow
Julia qualified as a Legal Executive in 1980, working with local firms of solicitors and specialising in probate, wills, trusts, conveyancing and Court of Protection work. |

| She also worked for a period in a management capacity in the business world utilising her legal and accounting skills. She spent some time combining caring for an elderly relative and working with a local branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau in a voluntary capacity before returning to legal work. She therefore has a wide range of skills which she is able to bring her work with Essex Guardians. |
| Jacquie Johnston – Senior Finance Assistant
Jacquie Johnston trained and worked in the television industry for 5 years after leaving university. She then had a career change and worked in horticultural retail for 6 years.

| Jacquie started work at Essex County Council in 2000 working in the Benefits Team, moved across to the Financial Assessment and Benefits Adviser (FABA) Team in 2003 as a visiting officer going out to vulnerable adults to give benefits advice and carrying out a financial assessment for care services provided by Essex County Council. Jacquie started working for Essex Guardians in 2009 and brings a wealth of customer service and benefits experience to the team. |
