The Sensory conference 2011 took place at the Radisson Stansted on the 17th June 2011.
This national conference looked at the current issues facing the Sensory arena of Social Care and future developments. Essex is at the forefront of these changes and developments, ranging from health and social care as well as embracing national initiatives such as the UK Vision Strategy.
The conference featured a number of workshops considering how forthcoming changes in health and social care will impact people with sensory needs.
Additional workshops gave an overview of what it was like to have sensory needs and how these needs impact daily lives. There were also examples of good practice and engagement when working with people with sensory needs.
