Receiving your direct payments

17 May 2018

There are 3 ways you can get the direct payments paid to you. You can choose from:

Pre-paid card

The card is like a debit card which you can use to pay for your care and support. You will receive the money as monthly payments.

Find out more information on using pre-paid cards (PDF, 161 KB) for your direct payments.

Bank account

You must open a dedicated bank account for the direct payments and manage the money yourself. You will receive the money as monthly payments.

Payroll support

A company (contracted by us) will manage your direct payments for you.

Find out about Purple, the company we currently use.

Your social worker will go through these options with you when you agree your care and support plan.
