Mental health services in Essex are provided by the NHS in partnership with Essex County Council, with support from voluntary and independent organisations.
 
If you are already receiving social care mental health services through a community mental health team, and you need some extra support, please contact: 
If you are not currently receiving mental health services but you urgently need extra support, contact the Essex County Council Emergency duty team on 0845 6061212.

NERIL (North Essex Resource and Information Line for mental health) is a voluntary telephone helpline staffed by trained workers who give information, support and advice about mental health. The line is open every day between 4pm and 8am. Anyone can use this service. Contact NERIL on 0845 0900 909.
