To start the new year we are launching a reading group at Chelmsford prison library. The group will involve older prisoners who will meet fortnightly to chat informally about books. The group will help prisoners develop skills such as listening and help them explore new ideas as well as providing activity and social contact.

We are looking for volunteers to:

• read the books and prepare ideas to help the discussion
• guide and facilitate the group
• help the group choose what to read next
