Are you young and aged 14 and over? Then why not have fun this summer by volunteering with Essex Libraries. You'll gain work experience and new skills by helping children keep reading during the summer holidays. Great for your CV!
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a minimum of 15 hours from the 21 July to 8 September 2012. As a volunteer you will help library staff:
- join children in the Summer Reading Challenge
- talk to children (mainly aged 4-11) about their books
- hand out stickers and rewards
The closing date for applications is:
- Friday 27 April 2012 if aged 16 and over during the summer holidays
- Wednesday 13 June 2012 if under 16
Young people aged 16 and over will need a CRB check. A member of library staff will contact you to discuss what documentation is needed.
