  Summer Reading Challenge

19 April 2013

Creepy House

This summer's Reading Challenge is called Creepy House.  You can visit any Essex library during the summer holidays to pick up a Creepy House poster and choose some exciting stories to read.

To complete the challenge, all you need to do is read six books.  There are stickers to collect along the way and some of them are stinky! If you read six books you will receive a medal. Everyone will receive a certificate.

If doesn't matter how old you are, or how well you can read; everyone can take part.

Creepy House will be running from Saturday 20 July to Monday
2 September. You'll be able to complete and collect medals until 7 September.

There will be some early joining days, so check with your local library to see if there are some creepy adventures happening on 13 July.

Mobile libraries will start the Summer Reading Challenge from early July.

Mystery street
If you're aged 10 and over you can take part in a different challenge called Mystery Street! Strange things have been happening and you'll need all your ingenuity to explain them by reading books, writing stories and answering questions to earn rewards.
