Guide to our e-book and e-audio suppliers
We use five suppliers for our e-books and e-audio. If you know the format you want, you can search the supplier's catalogue directly. To learn more, download our guide to suppliers. To login to these services you will need your library membership card number. Select the supplier name to access the service.
What is an e-book?
An e-book is an electronic version of a book which can be read either on a computer, or on some e-book readers or smartphones. Some e-books are read via a web browser, like a web page, while others need to be downloaded using software available from a supplier.
What is e-audio?
E-audiobooks are borrowed as an audio file that you need to download online. You can then listen to these on a range of devices, including MP3 players, i-pods and smartphones.
Please be aware the Amazon Kindle operates a closed digital rights management system and we are unable to purchase e-books in the Kindle format. It’s only possible to download books to your Kindle from Amazon, although you will be able to view some books in your web browser if you have a Kindle Fire.
