Silver End library will be moving to the ground floor of Silver End Village Hall, it has been confirmed.
The move comes following the end of the lease on the current building on Broadway.
The library will close in mid-September, reopening in its new home in the late autumn, allowing for necessary works to take place.
Councillor Anne Brown, Cabinet Member for Corporate, Communities and Customers said: “We are very pleased to have secured the use of the Village Hall, which is the ideal location for the library.
“This will allow us to provide services in a location which is already well used by the local community, and will ultimately allow us to build more partnerships and run more activities in the village.”
A mobile library will be running from the village ahead of new library site opening.
