Teenage adventurers encouraged to put their survival skills to the test with extreme new youth programme in Uttlesford

15 March 2017

Adventurous teenagers in Uttlesford are being encouraged to sign up for an exciting new youth programme.

NCS…Extreme is a new, more challenging version of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme that gives 16 and 17-year-olds the chance to learn essential survival skills for work, life and the great outdoors.

Run locally by Essex County Council’s Youth Service, the first group in Essex will be in Uttlesford this summer, with pupils at all four of the district’s secondary schools offered the opportunity to take part.

The programme will see participants spend the first week navigating their way across difficult terrain and learning important survival skills.

Subsequent parts of the programme will focus on developing important life and work skills, and organising and running community action projects.
Priced at just £50, places on the programme are very limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
To sign up, please visit ncsingeus.co.uk or call 0121 386 6910.
