Essex Outdoors Bradwell are delighted to be hosting their first family open day, giving Essex adventure seekers the chance to try exciting outdoor activities for free.
On Sunday 31 July between 12 noon and 4pm the centre will open its doors to the public and offer – at no charge – a range of land and water based activities to Essex residents.
During the day, archery, climbing and high ropes activities will be run continuously on a first come, first served basis. Sailing and powerboat experiences in the Blackwater Estuary will run at regular intervals and specific time slots will be able to be available to be pre booked on arrival. All activities are suitable for ages seven plus.
Cllr John Spence, Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Finance, Housing and Planning with responsibility for Traded Services, said: “What better way to spend the day than having fun, for free, trying a range of new adventure experiences.
Essex Outdoors Bradwell is located in a fantastic spot on the Blackwater Estuary, so why not come and explore this beautiful location and enjoy a great family day on the land and sea.”
A BBQ and refreshments will be available on the day with free parking at Bradwell Marina (CM0 7RB) which is located next door to the centre. No parking will be available at the centre on the day.
