Free event for aspiring writers

A free event aimed at new and aspiring writers will be taking place at Halstead library this September.

Hosted by lecturer Diane Hinds, the event will give practical and helpful tips on how to self-publish and promote your work.

There will also be a number of local authors showcasing their own work, including short stories and poetry.

Cllr Anne Brown, Cabinet Member responsible for libraries at Essex County Council, said: “Our Libraries have a whole host of events happening throughout the year and this is a great example of what is on offer.”

The Halstead Library’s Write Night is on Wednesday 21st September from 7- 9pm. The event is free to attend, to book a place contact the library on 01787 473431.
