Half term fun with Essex County Council

11 February 2016

From a lantern walk to splashing through muddy puddles at Danbury Park, there are plenty of fun activities this February half-term thanks to Essex County Council.

Many of the activities are free including ‘Wild Wednesday’ at Danbury Country Park and an open afternoon at the Iron Age Roundhouse at Hadleigh Park.

The parks are open every day and new additions include ‘The Stick Man’ trail at Weald Country Park and the Sky Ropes course at Great Notley Country Park, which are all set to help blow the winter cobwebs away and put some colour in everyone’s cheeks.

Cllr Kay Twitchen, Deputy Cabinet Member for Planning and the Environment, said: “February can sometimes be a bit grim in terms of the weather, but there are plenty of activities to cheer up the whole family at Essex’s country parks and libraries.”
