Love Where You Live events can be anything that improves the local community, from litter picks and clear ups to tree planting and conservation work parties. 

Over 75 events have been registered on the Love Where You Live website since the launch in July 2011. If you haven’t registered an event yet then now is the time to get involved.

Events can be registered by visiting www.goodforessex.org/lovewhereyoulive. It only takes a minute, and everyone who registers will receive a free support pack to help them plan and promote their event.

County Councillor Jeremy Lucas, Cabinet Member for Environment & Culture, said: “It would be wonderful to see young people across Essex taking part in Love Where You Live events this half-term. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, and it is important for all of us to spend some time improving our local communities.”
