Lane closure to protect bridge in Sible Hedingham
10 August 2016
New traffic measures are being introduced to protect a weakened bridge in Sible Hedingham.
A recent inspection of Wash Farm Bridge along the A1017, Sible Hedingham, uncovered signs of deterioration which require a one-lane closure to maintain the safety of the travelling public.
Traffic management will be put in place today (Wednesday) involving a closure of the Northbound carriageway.
The Southbound carriageway will remain open to traffic and temporary traffic lights will manage traffic flows in both directions.
This will remain in place until further investigation can be undertaken.
