Essex County Council is looking for young people to take part in the National Citizen Service scheme running across the county this summer.
Open to any young person aged 17 or in Year 11, the National Citizen Service is an opportunity to try new activities, gain skills for future education or employment and help make a difference in your local community.
The main aspects of the scheme are two residential stays, giving the opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor activities, work as a team and make new friends; the second aspect is working on a community project of your own design.
Schemes are taking place in Braintree, Castle Point/Canvey, Clacton, Halstead, Loughton, Rochford/ Rayleigh and Saffron Walden. There are 15 places in each group and the cost is £20 per person.
