Young and old can enjoy a special adventure on two pirate-themed sea shanty trains later this month.
The trains depart at 11am and 12 noon on Saturday, 14 October from Manningtree railway station and run through to Harwich Town railway station.
Along the way, passengers can enjoy a sea shanty sing along, activity packs for children and prizes for the best dressed pirates.
The train will arrive in Harwich just in time to allow passengers to also visit the Harwich International Shanty Festival.
Tickets for the train cost are discounted at £5 for adults and £3 for children. They must be bought online in advance at esscrp.org.uk/tickets.
Jayne Sumner, Rail Engagement Manager at Essex County Council, said: "Everyone loves a good sing along so why not join us along this beautiful branch line trip to Harwich.
"We will have prizes for the best dressed pirates so make sure you come dressed to impress.
"We cannot wait to invite people on board."
