Top Royal Author in Chelmsford before the Jubilee

14 May 2012

Leading writer on the British royal scene Robert Hardman will be appearing at Chelmsford Library at 12pm Monday 21 May 2012, just ahead of the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

He will be reading from his book Our Queen, after which he will take questions from the public on a wide range of topics including his book and his life as a journalist and writer. Robert will also be signing autographs.

All library members coming to the event will be issued with a free raffle ticket with the chance to win one of several MP3 players.

The special, free-of-charge event has been organised to celebrate the addition of the Bolinda Digital range of e-audio books to Essex County Council’s library catalogue.

County Councillor Jeremy Lucas, Cabinet Member for Environment and Culture said: “The partnership with Bolinda Digital will give members of Essex Libraries an additional 1,400 e-audio books to choose from, with a further 120 new titles to be added each year. We are delighted to welcome Robert Hardman to Essex to celebrate this exciting launch.”

E-audio books are becoming an increasingly popular way of accessing the latest fiction and non-fiction titles. They are available to order online at www.essex.gov.uk/libraries.
