Passenger Transport Strategies

The following strategies underline the Council’s approach to different types of transport within the county area.
 
Education and Inspection Strategy
The Education and Inspection strategy the Council’s intentions for delivering the provisions of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 in respect of promoting and supporting the development of more sustainable modes of travel to school.
 

Road and Passenger Transport Strategy

The Essex Road Passenger Transport strategy is the Council’s strategy to improve bus, taxi statutory and community transport services in Essex  between 2006 and 2011. It is a statutory part of the Local Transport Plan.
 
Bus Information Strategy
The Bus Information strategy has been compiled to meet Essex County Council’s obligations under the Transport Act 2000 and its own targets.
 
Rail Strategy
The Rail strategy outlines how Essex County Council will work with its stakeholders to develop a long term strategic rail plan for the county, delivering passenger and freight services.
