What service is being provided?

Research into health, wellbeing, lifestyle and social circumstances of children, young people and families in Essex.

What will it be used for and what gives us the right to ask for it and use it?

Your views and opinions will be anonymously recorded and included in reports or papers. The purpose of the information gathered is to provide deeper and richer insight into the experiences of children, young people and families in Essex. This information will help commissioners and service providers design and deliver services that meet the needs and improve outcomes for children, young people and families. 
If we cannot use your data we could not gain this valuable insight which helps us improve the services we provide to young people. 
Our legal basis for using your personal data is a Public task in the public interest. 

Will your data be stored in or accessible from countries with no UK-equivalent Privacy Law protections?


How long will your data be kept?

We will stop using your data after the research project you have been involved in has been completed. Any notes taken (hand written or typed) during consultation sessions will be destroyed. The data will continue to be used in a summarised and anonymised form in any research reports or papers that are published.  The anonymised data in the papers may be of historic interest and may be held in public archives indefinitely.
