For many, modern life is less physically active than it used to be meaning the excess calories we eat are not burnt off as energy and are instead stored as fat. Healthy eating, along with physical activity, is the best way to lose weight. This means eating a wide variety of foods in the right amounts. To learn more, you may find the following links useful:

Healthy eating for your family

If you have a young family you may be eligible for Healthy Start, which offers free vouchers every week to spend on milk, fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables, infant formula milk and vitamins.
