Just in front of forthcoming energy price hikes, the Essex Energy Switch scheme can find you a better deal on energy rates.
After successful switches over previous years, residents and businesses in Essex have saved over £2million on gas and electricity bills.
Councillor David Finch, Leader of Essex County Council has registered for the Essex Energy Switch in previous years and is encouraging residents to take advantage of the opportunity again this year.
He said: “The Essex Energy Switch makes price comparison easy. All you need is a current energy bill statement, five minutes of your time to enter your details online, and the best rate will be proposed to you.
“Don’t forget that you can register on behalf of interested relatives, who may not have access to a computer, to save them money too. Let’s get even more people registered and see if we can succeed in achieving an even bigger saving for Essex in 2017.”
Anyone who pays for gas or electricity is eligible to take part and it takes less than five minutes to sign up. People who have signed up in previous years will need to register again to take advantage of this year’s switch.
Once registration has closed, energy providers will bid against one another to obtain the custom of those who have registered. The winning bidder will be whichever company offers the best prices.
Don’t forget, registration is free and you are under no obligation to switch providers.
The prices offered will be based on the number of residents who register. This means that the more people who register their interest, the better the deal offered.
