Perfectly timed for school holiday fun, Essex Country Parks has today officially opened a new play area at Cudmore Grove Country Park which is located in East Mersea.
The new play equipment has been designed especially for the park with a coastal theme and is inspired by the park’s history. It gives children the perfect opportunity to play, laugh and let their imaginations run wild in the beautiful setting.
Councillor Simon Walsh, Cabinet Member for Environment and Waste attended for the official ribbon cutting and opening saying: “I am delighted to officially open the new children’s play area at Cudmore Grove. It is a popular park with our visitors and our investment in the new equipment, which is beautifully handmade and crafted, will provide an even more enjoyable visit for families.”
Unique for a Country Park, Cudmore Grove has a sandy beach as well as impressive views, rolling grasslands and meadows buzzing with wildlife. With over 102 acres, there is space to explore, relax and enjoy for families, dog walkers and runners.
The Park also recently retained its Green Flag award, giving visitors’ confidence that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards and is beautifully maintained.
