If you applied online, you can track the progress of your application at any time, by logging in to your account.

Application status

To see if we're waiting for information from you, click My Tasks.  You can upload the documents from there.

To see the status of your application, click My Requests. Your application will go through different stages as we process it. These stages are explained below.

Stage What's happening
Application We’ve received your application.
Eligibility Checking We’re checking your eligibility and evidence. Once we’ve finished, we’ll be in touch to let you know next steps. If further information or evidence is required, we’ll let you know. Your application will return to this stage at various times throughout the process, for example after an IMA, or after we’ve received your payment. This is nothing to worry about.
Customer Request We’ve contacted you to ask for more information or evidence, and we’re awaiting your reply.
Desk-based assessment The Blue Badge team has received all the information they need and the application has been sent for initial assessment. Once reviewed you will be informed of the outcome.
Arrange Customer Appointment You are required to attend an Independent Mobility Assessment (IMA). Your details have been passed to Ascenti, our assessment providers, who will contact you directly to arrange an appointment.
IMA An IMA has been booked and we are awaiting the outcome of the assessment. We will contact you with details of the outcome once this has been received.
Later payment Your application has been approved and you need to pay for your badge. Once payment is made, please allow 20 working days for the badge to arrive.
Declined Applications Your application has been declined (or refused). We have contacted you to let you know why.

Sending documents

If you uploaded your documents online, you will only be able to upload new documents when your application is in the Customer Request stage (see above). If you emailed your documents, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement email. If you did not receive an email, check your junk folder.

Declined documents

You need to ensure you’ve submitted all the supporting documents, otherwise this could delay your application. For example, documents might be declined if there is not enough information, or if they are out of date. Photos might be declined if the picture is not clear enough. If we cannot accept one of your documents, we will contact you in writing to explain why, and ask you to resend it.
