Getting tested

If you have symptoms

If you have symptoms of coronavirus, you and everyone you live with must immediately self-isolate. Do not leave home until you get your test results, except to post a test kit or for a PCR test appointment.

Who can get tested?

If you live in Essex and have symptoms you should book a PCR test on GOV.UK or call 119.

Where can you get tested?

Testing centres are run by the NHS and Ministry of Defence.

They may offer you a test centre, depending on availability, at:

  • one of the national testing centres, in Stansted or Ipswich
  • or at local mobile testing site. The NHS provide us with locations on a weekly basis for the week ahead. Check current locations

You may also book a test to be sent to your home if you're eligible.
