The Essex Local Offer

The Essex Local Offer provides information on the services available to children and young people (aged 0 to 25) with SEND and their families including:

  • schools and learning
  • employment and training
  • local clubs and groups
  • health and social care

Children, young people, their parents or carers and practitioners work together to bring everything together in one place. It is updated and developed regularly following user feedback.

SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SEND IAS)

Contact the SEND IAS for free, confidential and impartial advice on issues relating to special educational needs and disabilities. Contact them by:

SEND Operations Service

For queries about the statutory assessment process or your child’s education, health and care (EHC) plan, contact the SEND Operations Service.

SEND Tribunal Service

The SEND tribunal service deals with appeals against local authority decisions on the special educational needs of children and young people. Find out more on GOV.UK.

Essex Family Forum

Essex Family Forum is an independent group of parents and carers of children and young people (0 to 25) with additional needs and disabilities.
