Get equipment to stay independent

Find technology and equipment that can help people with care needs stay independent

Maintaining or returning your equipment

If you use equipment provided by Adult Social Care you will need to contact our third party suppliers if you have any questions about your equipment.

If you purchased your equipment yourself then you will need to contact the provider which sold you the equipment.

Daily living equipment

Our daily living equipment is provided through the Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service. The service loans equipment free of charge. Medequip is our service provider for the delivery, collection, repair and servicing of community equipment in Essex and Thurrock.

All equipment should have a Medequip label on it, showing the Medequip customer service telephone number. Medequip will also accept Essex Cares Limited (ECL) labelled equipment if you received your equipment before 1 July 2023.

If you have any questions regarding equipment that has recently been delivered or requires repair, call 0333 034 2048 or email essex@medequip-uk.com.
If your equipment is no longer required and ready to be returned, please call 0333 034 2048 or email essex@medequip-uk.com.

You can also return your equipment directly to Medequip: Braintree Service Centre Depot: Unit 2, Horizon 120 Business Park, Horizon Boulevard, Braintree, CM77 7AY.

Opening Hours: 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday - Saturday.

Care technology

Millbrook Healthcare is the provider for the supply, installation, repair and collection of care technology in Essex.

If you need repairs or have questions about your care technology, call Millbrook Healthcare on 0330 174 2869 or email essextech@millbrookhealthcare.co.uk.#

If you're not sure which provider to contact

You should check for a label on your equipment. This should tell you who the provider is. They should also have sent you an email or letter, or given you a service information leaflet when you got your equipment.

If you are still unsure, then see our pages on daily living equipment and care technology for help identifying the different types of equipment.
