Disclosure and Barring Service checks
If you have an employee with an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under 3 years old, we need a signed declaration before they start work on a transport contract.
Contract management
Novate a contract
See our novation of contracts procedure (PDF, 41KB) if you wish to transfer a contract’s responsibilities and payment rights to another operator.
Subcontract
If you’d like to employ another operator to carry out a contract on your behalf, please email PTContract.Management@essex.gov.uk to discuss this.
Please include:
- contract number
- route number
- name of the subcontractor
- proposed start date
Changing operator details
Please let us know if you change:
- operating address
- name of owner or manager
- invoicing contact
- complaint handling procedure
- emergency or out-of-hours phone number
- web address
- other contact details
Please email ptcontract.management@essex.gov.uk, including both old and new details to help us confirm the change.
Passenger assistants
If you intend to employ passenger assistants, please email Passenger.transport@essex.gov.uk.
Please include a completed:
- Disclosure and Barring Service declaration (PDF, 211.53KB)
- Declaration of passenger assistant training (PDF, 332KB)
Specialist Health Passenger Assistants
If your contract requires a specialist health passenger assistant, please email a completed referral form (PDF, 94KB) to arrange training.
