After your school offer

What you can do

Information about what you can do after you get your school offer.

Waiting lists

If you did not get your preferred school, you will be added to the waiting lists of all schools that were ranked higher than the school offered in your application.

You will be able to find out where your child is on the waiting lists. More information on when and how to do this is on our waiting lists page.

You should not reject the school offer you have until you have secured another place.

Apply for a different school

Contact the School Admissions team if you:

  • want to apply for a school that you did not apply for originally
  • wish to be added to the waiting lists for a school that you named as a lower preference on your application than the school offered.
