Meeting supportive adults

Staying Close service

If you want to, you can access a service from The Children's Society called Staying Close.

They will: 

  • match you with a worker who will work with you
  • work around you and the things you are already involved in
  • keep you at the centre of decision making
  • help you with education, training and employment opportunities 
  • help you maintain a stable place to live
  • support to build positive relationships with people you trust
  • get you involved in things you enjoy

Independent visitors

The independent visitors scheme matches up young people in care up to the age of 18 with volunteers, to befriend and have fun days out.
