Costs
There is a weekly charge for 24/7 on-site care and support service, which you will need to pay to the Landlord.
Your electric, gas and water charges for your apartment are included in the service charges that you pay to the landlord. You will have to arrange for and pay any other utility bills for your apartment.
You will need to arrange and pay for your own TV licence and any subscription TV services for your apartment.
Eligibility
To be considered for the scheme you need to:
- be aged 55 years or over
- have a minimum of 7 hours a week of care and support needs. The scheme may consider adults with less than 7 hours of care per week on a case-by-case basis
- have had a care assessment by ECC's Adult Social Care team and be suitable for living in extra care accommodation
- have a local connection to Braintree District
