Realise Futures is contracted by Essex County Council to deliver supported employment to adults with disabilities who are eligible and are referred to the service by their social worker.

For more information, ask your social worker if you have one, or contact Adult Social Care.

Support includes:

  • job search
  • preparation for work
  • interview support
  • pre-employment work trials
  • support to secure voluntary placements
  • individual and/or group vocational training
  • on-going in work support

Essex Cares Limited (ECL) offers vocational work based training in a variety of different areas helping you to gain skills and confidence.

Papworth Trust in Brentwood offers support to people of all ages looking for either training, education or employment.

Help getting back into education

ACL (Adult Community Learning) offer a wide range of courses across Essex. Some courses are particular tailored for people with a learning disability.

If you have a care plan in place, you can ask your social worker.
