Our adult education provider, ACL Essex, has held its annual awards ceremony for this year. Over 100 people attended Central Baptist Church in Chelmsford. The event recognised learners who went the 'extra mile' and had a positive attitude in the classroom.

Councillor Tony Ball, Cabinet Member for Education Excellence, Lifelong Learning and Employability, said:

The annual awards ceremony is a wonderful celebration of the efforts that learners and staff put in all year round. It’s great to come together and award outstanding learners. These are people who have made a real difference in their time at ACL Essex.

At the event, ACL Essex handed 37 awards to learners, staff and apprentices.

ACL Essex helps learners step on and progress up the career ladder to achieve their personal and professional goals. They offer a wide range of courses for Essex residents. They help people to gain accredited qualifications, learn how to support their own wellbeing, take up a new hobby, and much more.
