Commercial and industrial waste makes up about 80% of the waste generated or requiring treatment in Essex. This equates to roughly 2.8 million tonnes each year.

We are inviting Essex businesses to complete a survey on how they manage their waste and what would motivate or help them to reduce their waste. We need insight from businesses to ensure guidance and incentives are attractive and make a difference.

We want to understand how we can support local businesses to reduce their waste and move towards a circular economy. This is the principal of designing out waste by increasing reuse, repair and redesign.

Business of all sizes across Essex can complete the sustainable waste survey by Friday 14 July.
