County Hall in Chelmsford will be lit up red and white this weekend in anticipation and celebration of the Lionesses making the women’s world cup final on Sunday.

The St George’s flag will also fly high at the front of the building.

Leader of Essex County Council, Councillor Kevin Bentley said: “We share the country’s excitement and pride ahead of this weekend’s women’s world cup final.

“It’s a great achievement to make the final and we wish all the players the very best of luck.”
