£250 million is being put into physical activities to tackle place inequality across England.
Sport England announced its investment from Canvey Island. This is just one of the 100 locations joining the expansion of Sport England’s Place Partnership.
The partnership provides access to sports in places with low levels of activity.
Sport England will also invest in current Place Partners. This includes Basildon, Colchester and Tendring from the Active Essex Local Delivery Pilot.
