Our brand-new Ambitious Essex Tech 50 reveals the top tech businesses in the county. It celebrates innovation and aims to inspire future tech experts and business owners.
The shortlisted businesses represent each of the Greater Essex districts, boroughs and cities.
From small startups to household names, they use tech to solve everyday challenges. They come from a range of industries including healthcare, transport and education.
Each Ambitious Essex Tech 50 business was judged against the following criteria:
- Turnover
- Investment and funding secured
- Approach to skills, training and apprenticeship
- Growth potential
- Local and global reach
Digitech was identified as a key growth sector by our Sector Development Strategy. This will play a vital role in the future of our local economy, alongside clean energy and retrofit.
This Ambitious Essex Tech 50 list is the first of many. In future, the business community will be invited to nominate themselves or other entrepreneurs.
